On Fear

Moralism is the fear of the color gray.
Gluttony is the fear of moralism.
Bitterness is the fear of grief.
Judgment is one of my deepest fears displayed in another.

Jealousy is the fear that I’m being replaced.
Manipulation is the fear that I will be abandoned.
Flattery is the fear that I have nothing of value to bring.
Anger is the fear of being out of control.

Gossip is the fear that I am not enough.
Envy is the fear that I, alone, am defective beyond repair.
Boasting is the fear that I’m insignificant.
Wallowing is the fear that I don’t deserve better.

Sloth is the fear of futility.
Avarice is the fear of the hourglass.
Anxiety is the fear of the unknown.
Vanity is the fear of being unseen.

Apathy is the fear of rejection.
Hardness is the fear of pain.
Pride is the fear of vulnerability.
Despair is the fear that hope is hopeless.

Comparison is the fear of my brokenness.
Busyness is the fear of stillness
Cowardice is the fear of sacrifice.
Love is the absence of fear.
